Sonia trained at the Manchester School of Art and the Hornsey School of Art in London. She is a member of 4 societies; The Royal Society of Marine Artists, The Society of Women Artists and The Newlyn and St Ives Societies in Cornwall. Sonia paints in oils, watercolour and gouache. She exhibits throughout the UK and annually at The Mall Galleries and Westminster Galleries in London for the RSMA, RI and SWA. She has also exhibited widely abroad including shows at the VSA in France and in Australia. Sonia's work forms part of many books on art and painting including A Celebration of Marine Art, Marine Painting by James Taylor and British Marine Painting.
