Brenda King was born in Cumbria in 1934. She studied at Lancaster College of Art from 1950 to 1954 and at the Royal College of Art from 1954 to 1957. She showed regularly at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition whilst living near London and she also had annual shows at the Mansard Gallery during the 1960's and 70's. She moved to Cornwall in 1975 and exhibits at the Wills Lane Gallery, New Craftsman Gallery and the Plumbline Gallery in St Ives. She has also exhibited widely throughout Southern England and in Tokyo and Paris. Brenda is married to painter/lithographer Jeremy King and they have three adult children all of whom are pursuing careers in the arts.
