Moira Huntly was born in Motherwell, Scotland in 1932. She studied at Harrow School of Art and Hornsea College of Art from 1948-54.
She is President of the Pastel Society, a member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolour, the Royal Society of Marine Artists and the Royal West of England Academy.
Her major shows include New English Art Club, Royal Institute of Oil Painters, Federation of Canadian Artists, Vancouver, Royal Society of Marine Artists and many exhibitions in galleries throughout the UK.
Moira's work is in many collections world-wide including British Telecom, Laing plc, Newsweek International, Whitbread plc, Vickers, Nuclear Electric and Proctor and Gamble. Her awards include Windsor and Newton Award for the best group of paintings by a member 1985, Hunting Group Painting Competition Finalist 1981, 83 and 85, Winner of the Laing International Painting Competition 1986 and Manya Igle Fine Arts Award, Pastel Society 1992 and 93.
