Born in 1965, Alastair D Houston was brought up sailing in Fairlee, Scotland, a village well known for the building of beautiful yachts. Combined with an artistic family background, Alastair found expression drawing and painting marine subjects from an early age. Over the years, he has developed what is one of the most deft watercolour techniques in marine painting. He first exhibited in 1989 and his rare talent was immediately recognised, leading to exhibitions in both Europe and the USA. Alastair's paintings form part of public and private collections world-wide.
