Edward Waite

Edward grew up in Lincolnshire and always had an active interest in art searching for interesting styles and discovering new artists.

Growing up by the sea, he was forever surfing the waves, which gave him his first style of painting, surfing silhouettes. Edward's style soon changed and, left to his own devices, his current technique was self-taught. Edward now works with urban scenes rather than rural landscapes

Artists Kiefer, Pollock and Kline were influences as he studied for his Fine Art Degree. Pollock's process capturing physicality, Kiefer's surfaces, marks and layering provoking mood and Kline's gestural composition are all referred to as I paint.

Edward starts by drawing in sketchbooks and these are then transformed into paintings.

After travelling for 2 years. Edward is now settled in Lincoln.
