Kate was born in Yorkshire but has lived in London for the past 30 years. She has two teenage daughters. In 1992 she studied art, firstly at Putney School of Art and then London Guildhall University. Together with her partner Richard Gough, she spends a great deal of time on the water on their Swordsman 40, "Centime". Not surprisingly her work portrays a nautical theme and it is a personal response to the ever changing moods of the sea. She works mostly in oils and as a printmaker. Kate has exhibited her work widely and in 1999 joined Kendall's Fine Art in Cowes. In August 1999 she had her first show there which proved to be a huge success and was a complete sell-out. She has become one of Kendall's Fine Art's featured artists with her work now always available at the gallery in Cowes. Kendall's Fine Art also exhibit Kate's work in their London shows and at various art fairs.
